Mount Everest

Mount Everest
Mount Everest is the mightiest peak in the world at the elevation of 8848 m (29028 Feet) situated in Nepal/Tibet. The snow-capped, frost-crusted peak has posed a challenge not only to the physical skill of adventures but also strength of mind for hikers. The outer rim rises sharply from the foothills and gives a marvelous scenic view inside Himalaya.

It is necessary to take professional mountain guides to complete a successful climb and this highest mountain in the world challenges many well-experienced climbers who are willing to climb it. Mt. Everest is accessible by two main climbing routes, the southeast ridge from Nepal and the northeast ridge from Tibet as well as many others less frequently climbed routes. The southeast ridge is technically easier and is the more frequently used route. The first ascent was made by Edmund Hilary and Tenzing Norgay in 1953.
